Insurance companies must be notified prior to the procedure to obtain an authorisation code which is used for billing purposes. In the unlikely event that the fees are not fully covered by your insurer, please note that you are responsible for covering the shortfall.
Patients choosing to self-fund their care:
Insertion of Port-a-cath: £650
Insertion of Tunnelled CVAD e.g. Hickman® Line: £500
Insertion of PICC: £300
Removal of Port-a-cath/ Tunnelled CVAD: £450
Sedation charges to be added on to above if requested: £200
Face to Face clinic consultation and evaluation of veins with ultrasound imaging: £250
Follow up Consultation (not usually required): £150
